Total Number of Credits for Descriptive Linguistics and Translation Linguistics
60
  • At the Master of Linguistics, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, UNS, the total study load is 60 credits, designed with a curriculum completion period of 3 (three) to 4 (four) semesters. The maximum study period is 8 (eight) semesters.

  • Master’s program students who are unable to complete their studies within the 4-semester curriculum period may apply for a study extension each semester, provided they have completed all theoretical courses. The study extension is granted for one semester and can be given for a maximum of up to the 8th semester. For students in their final semester (8th semester), an extension is granted if the student has produced a publication in accordance with the regulations (publication manuscript minimally accepted with minor revisions), allowing the final semester to be used for completing the thesis writing and Final Assignment Stage III examination.

  • Master’s program students are required to carry out a publication before the thesis examination, evidenced by a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for at least 1 (one) article in an international journal or 1 (one) article in a SINTA 3 accredited national journal or 1 (one) indexed international seminar proceeding.

  • The scientific publication requirements are:
    1) including the student’s name as the first author,
    2) including the names of the supervisory team,
    3) the supervisor as the corresponding author, and
    4) listing the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and Universitas Sebelas Maret as the institutional affiliation of the student and supervisors from UNS.

  • The maximum thesis similarity is 25% (twenty-five percent).
