The UNS Master of Linguistics program is designed to address contemporary challenges with innovation and wisdom. We foster relevant linguistic and translation studies, support impactful applied research, and meet language needs at both national and international levels.
The Master of Linguistics program was established on October 22, 1997 (Decree No. 414/DIKTI/Kep/1997). The program began its educational activities in September 1998, with operational permit Decree No. 2431/D/T/K-N/2010.
To establish the UNS Master of Linguistics program as a leading center for education, research, and community service in the development of international linguistic and translation studies, rooted in noble national cultural values.
The UNS Master of Linguistics program offers two specializations—Descriptive Linguistics and Translation Linguistics—both designed to sharpen your scientific reasoning and linguistic sensibility. These specializations attract students from across Indonesia and various countries (including Thailand, Uzbekistan, China, and Madagascar), creating a rich and multicultural learning ecosystem.
